During the Extraordinary Congress of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), which honors Chilean President Salvador Allende, Maduro proposed three central tasks and called for the activation of thousands of communities to guarantee peace with dignity.

Regarding the fight against imperialism and the defense of sovereignty, he categorically rejected any subordination to the “empire,” referring to the United States.

“We will never humiliate ourselves to the empire; we will stand up in active battle.” He also compared Venezuela to Vietnam, highlighting its peaceful but “fierce” nature in the face of external aggression, and questioned the legitimacy of US threats against the peoples of the world.

Along these lines, he announced that debates and consultations will be held on Saturday and Sunday in more than 60,000 PSUV headquarters to define future lines of action. He proposed three core tasks:

Consolidate Government Capacity: Within the framework of the “7 Transformations” (7T), he emphasized the need to resolve the people’s problems without halting government action.

Strengthen People’s Power and Communities: He seeks to consolidate a new popular process based on community organization.

Preparation for Armed Struggle: Maduro urged the PSUV and the nation to prepare to move from unarmed forms of struggle to armed struggle if necessary, underscoring the “historical responsibility” to defend Venezuela’s dignity.

“Venezuela has a strategic concept of defense…of the country’s security that has been built over decades” (and) founded by Commander Chávez,” he said, adding that this eliminated the Venezuelan army’s dependence on Washington.

In this regard, he emphasized that the country broke with the colonial vision, which has led to the nation today having “the most advanced defense doctrine in all of Latin America and the Caribbean,” along with Cuba, Nicaragua, and ALBA.

Meanwhile, the president called for the activation of the country’s 260,000 streets and 47,000 communities for possible armed resistance, should circumstances require it. He also proposed three strategic guidelines regarding this.

Comprehensive defense of the nation.

Active resistance against external threats.

Permanent offensive against imperialism.

Along these lines, he emphasized the importance of preserving “peace with freedom, dignity, and self-determination,” a peace that, he noted, Venezuela has achieved and defended with sovereignty.

Finally, the Venezuelan leader urged listening to the “creative powers of the people” and establishing a “perfect formula” to activate the territories and guarantee peace on the continent.

Furthermore, he reaffirmed the government’s commitment to “peace with a Republic and sovereign rights,” while warning imperialism that “they dare not.”
